LA Ski Council
Skiing is here and everywhere. Mammoth is loaded, and with the last storms that have come through. Check out the clubs ski trips on the trips page. The clubs have done most of their 30 original ski trips, we are now down to the April trips (about 6 trips left). Locally, Bogus Basin Ski Area in Idaho has had some beautiful blue bird ski days, and I am told the night skiing is dynamite!
Los Angeles Council (LAC) just got back from Steamboat, CO. I am awaiting some pictures to add to the website. See the Past Ski Trips pages for photos. And, we are headed to Banff in 2025 with FWSA. Check out the flyer and information on the trips page.
Convention 2024 in Reno, NV at the Atlantis Hotel should be great. FWSA has set up with some great speakers on skiing topics you won’t want to miss. The Silent Auction is set for Friday night, The Pub Crawl on Thursday, and then the weekend gets going.

LAC Meetings
The LAC meeting is held on the irst Monday, on the following months: August [to put information out on upcoming ski trips]; November [to celebrate holidays & advise of upcoming local or other ski trips]; February [Volunteer of Year award, and for the Convention in Boise; and to start on next year’s board of directors]; April {for Board nominations – President, Treasurer, Secretary, VP Programs] May – Installation of new officers. We hope you will join us.
Ski trips
Our clubs 2022-23 ski trips - bus and drive up - to Mammoth and other great venues are posted under Trips. Take a look, there are already lots of them and the week-long trips are listed too. Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort has more snow than it knows what to do with so go skiing while it is a legendary year to snow in the Sierras.
Convention
Convention 2023: Boise, Idaho. Some of the same, and Some VERY NEW: Top Golf (in lieu of a traditional golf tournament); Pub Crawl (3 of the best bars in downtown Boise); Sports Leadership Academy - not as many; Forums; and the Saturday Dinner Dance.
